The Commander-in-Chief conducts an audit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky began an audit of the Defense Forces. During the inspection, thousands of military personnel were found who had never participated in battle.
“For two years in a row they say that there are brigades that have been at war for two years without rotations. And there are units that have never been to the front at all. The army is 900 thousand, 300 thousand are fighting without rotations. And where then are 600 thousand? ” – People’s Deputy David Arakhamia emphasized on the air of the “Topic with Natalya Moseychuk” program.
There is an understanding that a certain number of military personnel are working to provide for the fighters on the front line. However, already at the beginning of the check, Syrsky found a considerable number of military personnel who could participate directly in hostilities.
“Conventionally, 8 thousand people have already been found who were simply seconded to the General Staff and did not fight,” Arakhamia added.
The official emphasized that these soldiers have already received orders and are undergoing training. They will be sent to reinforce combat brigades on the front line.
“I believe that the number (of fighters who have not been at the front since the beginning of the invasion – ed.) will be much higher,” he stated.
War in Ukraine: important news
The speaker of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria”, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Likhovy, said that there is at least one more hot spot at the front – this is the Maryinsky direction. According to him, until 18:00 in this direction alone, in the area of the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region, the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 31 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In addition, the Russians do not stop shelling civilian settlements. On February 22, the enemy struck the Donetsk region with the Uragan MLRS. 13 shells hit the territory of the village of Constantinople. A person died and 9 more were injured. Among the wounded are four teenagers.
