It will be difficult for the Russian regime to cope without a new wave of public mobilization after Putin’s “elections.”
The recruiting campaign continues in Russia, but the mobilization plan is already significantly behind schedule. Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov spoke about this on air at a national telethon.
“The recruiting campaign continues. Despite the fact that they promise funds and many other “goodies.” In general, due to the so-called “elections” and also because of organizational problems, their mobilization and recruitment plan is already a year behind significantly behind schedule,” the Ukrainian intelligence representative emphasized.
According to Yusov, this means that it will be difficult for the Russian regime to avoid additional mobilization measures.
“It will be difficult for the Russian regime and the Kremlin to do without a new wave of public mobilization, after the so-called “elections” of Putin,” he emphasized.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that in this case the Kremlin regime will be forced to choose between the threat of internal destabilization and repression.
“Something like this. Next they will choose: either fear of destabilization within, or further repressive measures on the territory of the Russian Federation,” he explained.
Mobilization in Russia
Russia replenishes the ranks of its armed forces with about 30 thousand people every month. With this manpower, the Russian occupation forces make up for their losses and form reserve regiments.
Ukrainian intelligence noted that mobilization is underway in the Russian Federation; it cannot be called hidden. However, it is not carried out as massively as in October-December 2022.
General Nikolai Malomuzh, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, believes that if after the elections in the Russian Federation Putin begins mass mobilization, this will become a huge destabilizing factor for Russian society.
