Eight carriages were open.
On the night of February 25, another sabotage against Ukrainian agricultural products occurred in Poland – in Kotomerz near Bydgoszcz, unknown persons opened eight train cars and poured corn onto the railway tracks, Polskie Radio reports.
It is noted that the police are conducting an investigation. The railway security service was the first to arrive at the scene of the incident and is protecting the area. Earlier, representatives of local authorities and farmers appeared and took samples of corn.
“It’s unlikely that the grain spilled out on its own, because eight wagons are open. Now it’s difficult for me to say whether it’s corn from Ukraine. Nobody provides such information,” said Sebastian Gorodetsky, deputy head of the Dobrc commune.
One of the farmers noted that they need to ask the carrier if the corn is from Ukraine. However, someone took a photograph of the invoice, claiming that it was a Ukrainian product.
In a comment to Latifundist.com, the founder of the trading company Agrooiltrade, Sergei Orlovsky, confirmed that at an intermediate station near the Polish Bydgoszcz, unknown persons opened 8 wagons with corn coming from Ukraine.
Protests by Polish farmers
In February, Polish farmers began mass protests to block checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Several acts of sabotage involving Ukrainian agricultural products have already been recorded. Thus, on February 20, Polish protesters intensified their protests near the Medika-Shegini checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. They blocked the railway and spilled grain from a freight car on the tracks.
On the morning of February 23, unknown persons at the Dorogusk station opened the hatches of two 1435 mm gauge grain carriers and poured out rapeseed heading to Germany.
