According to the publication, the procedure for obtaining a passport lasted less than two months. Now the English Watford forward will be able to play for the Ukrainian national team at the youth level. To do this, he only had to register his football citizenship with FIFA.
The publication also reports that the head coach of the Ukrainian U-19 national team Dmitry Mikhailenko wants to attract Christian Shevchenko and sees him in the team as a winger.

Christian Shevchenko spent 2 years in the Chelsea academy in London. However, he did not receive a professional contract from the club.
At the end of 2022, the striker decided to leave the club. Already in July 2023, Shevchenko signed a contract with Watford.
