According to Gumenyuk, Russia “obviously continues to attack port infrastructure.”
The attack on Odessa on March 6 was not related to the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the city. The head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, said this on Donbass.Realii.
According to her, Russia is a terrorist country, and it “obviously continues to attack port infrastructure.”
“Yes, a missile strike was carried out on Odessa, presumably with a ballistic weapon, hitting one of the buildings in the port infrastructure. But this is in no way connected with a specific visit. This is connected with the terror that the enemy is quite methodically carrying out,” Gumenyuk said .
She also recalled that Russia attacked the infrastructure of Odessa on the eve of the grain deal, during it and after its end.
“The grain initiative, the port capabilities of Odessa, the region and Ukraine as a whole do not give rest to the enemy. He is trying to attack and destroy the potential of Ukraine as a state that is at war, and is trying to restore its economy in order to support the front,” the speaker emphasized.

It subsequently became known that five people were killed as a result of a Russian attack on the port infrastructure of Odessa.
