According to the head of the Zaporozhye OVA, Ivan Fedorov, such a “fortress” is being built in this direction, through which the invaders will definitely not be able to pass.

Chairman of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov said that in Zaporozhye fortifications are being built at night, because the occupiers are trying to interfere with the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He said this on air at the United News telethon.

“Everything is being built using new technologies and updated design documentation, which was issued by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. All the deadlines that the military sets for us will be met,” Fedorov noted.

According to him, experts are trying to improve defensive structures so that Ukrainian defenders will not only be safe, but also comfortable to be there while carrying out their combat missions.

The head of the Zaporozhye OVA also noted that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has a general inspectorate that monitors the quality of military construction of such structures, as well as brigade control by military personnel.

“All work is also under the supervision of law enforcement agencies, so that all work is completed to perfection,” the official assured.

At the same time, the security situation in the region does not allow such work to be carried out at full capacity.

“In the Zaporozhye region, the enemy has struck front-line territories more than 200 times in the last 24 hours alone, so when we talk about security, many works are carried out at night, because it is safer and then it is more difficult for the enemy to hit our equipment. Therefore, of course the enemy is trying interfere and do everything so that we don’t build, because for him it will be such a fortress that he definitely won’t be able to pass,” Fedorov noted.

He added that the Cabinet of Ministers, on behalf of the president, has, as of today, allocated a record amount for the construction of fortifications. Regarding the equipment needed for such work, there is no shortage of it.

“In the Zaporozhye region, this is 1.3 billion UAH, which were allocated for construction by various customers. As for people, indeed, this is a problem, but today we, according to the schedule according to which we are building, managed to find the appropriate number of workers,” – the official emphasized.

Earlier, the speaker of the operational-strategic group of forces (OSG) “Tavria” Dmitry Likhovy said that the Russian Federation has significantly increased the number of attacks in the Zaporozhye direction. According to him, the occupiers have increased their pressure in the Rabotino area.

“Orekhovskoye is becoming a hot area in our area of ​​responsibility, where the enemy is trying to cut off the Rabotinsky ledge. If previously there were 0 enemy attacks there, sometimes from 1 to 5 assault actions, then over the past 24 hours 16 enemy attacks have been recorded here near Verbovoy and Rabotino,” – he noted.

Also, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Alexey Getman said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not yet ready for a counter-offensive, because first they need to defend themselves from attacks by the Russian army, while the fortifications are not yet ready.
