The man who discovered this miracle did not approach the whale, because it could burst at any moment.
A Norwegian fisherman found a hot air balloon in the sea. However, it later turned out that the body of the dead whale was so swollen.
According to Bild, Norwegian fisherman Dag Rydland discovered what looked like a hot air balloon in the open sea north of the island of Anneya. However, it later became clear that we were not talking about an aeronautical apparatus, but about a dead humpback whale, which had swelled up after death.
“The body was visible about 3 m above the sea. The balloon was so big! I have been a fisherman for 27 years and have seen several dead whales, but I have never seen one of this size before,” Rydland commented to Dagbladet.
According to the fisherman, during life the whale measured up to 15 m in length and weighed about 40 tons.
After death, whales become inflated because, as they decompose, their bodies become filled with gases as a result of putrefactive processes.
The man did not approach the whale, because at any moment it could explode. “I hope it won’t wash ashore before then. If it explodes, the smelly parts will fly many meters away,” the fisherman said.

Scientists have come to a solution to the mystery of the causes of the mass suicide of whales in the Pacific Ocean, which has been going on for four years. According to a new hypothesis, the reason lies in a change in the area of the Arctic ice cover and a reduction in production.
