The opponents used the same tactics that were used during the deadly strike on Odessa, the Southern Defense Forces noted.
The Defense Forces of southern Ukraine stated that the Russian army today, March 17, hit an infrastructure facility during an attack on Nikolaev.
According to the military, in the middle of the day the invaders insidiously launched a ballistic attack on the city, firing two missiles, probably Iskander-M, from the temporarily occupied Crimea. “The tactics of action are identical to the previous strike on Odessa: having struck with one missile, a few minutes later he repeated the strike in the same place,” the message says.
As a result of the enemy strike, residential buildings and civilian vehicles were damaged. At least five local residents are already known to be wounded. Relevant emergency services are on site.
Important news – Nikolaev is now in the spotlight
Today, March 17, the head of the Nikolaev OVA, Vitaly Kim, during an air raid, said that the Russian army attacked Nikolaev with ballistics, and there were hits. According to the official, it “flew” to the regional center from the same place from which the invaders launched missiles at Odessa. There were two “arrivals” in Nikolaev – explosions were reported. Local authorities also said that five people were already known to be wounded.
As reported, on March 15, the Russian army launched strikes on Odessa with two Iskander-M missiles. The hit occurred in a residential sector, in a recreational area. First, one missile was launched, and after a short period of time, when representatives of the relevant services arrived at the scene to help people, the enemy struck again. The attack killed 21 people and sent dozens to hospitals. Among the dead were police officers, a former vice-mayor, two rescuers, doctors, and an employee of an educational institution.
