What church holidays will we celebrate in April according to the new and old church calendar.
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine switched to the New Julian calendar in September 2023. In this regard, all non-transitional church holidays (with a fixed date) are now celebrated 13 days earlier. However, some believers continue to adhere to the old Julian calendar.
In April, a major Orthodox holiday will be celebrated – the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, and two parental Saturdays will also be held in the same month – these dates are the same for the old and new styles, since they depend on Easter. What else do we celebrate in the second month of spring – see the church calendar for April 2024 according to the new and old styles.
