Real geopolitical interests: when oil is more expensive than Ukraine

Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine on the night of March 21-22, launching drone and missile strikes against energy infrastructure throughout the country. Entire cities were cut off from power, the Dnieper hydroelectric power station was damaged, and once again the Zaporizhia NPP was left without power…

Meanwhile, the Financial Times published a material in which, citing three informed sources, it is said that the United States called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russian refineries, warning that drone strikes could lead to an increase in world oil prices and provoke retaliatory actions . “One source said the White House is increasingly frustrated by the brazen Ukrainian drone attacks,” the report said.

However, this indicates that, firstly, they are trying to turn the tables on us in order to cover up their insolvency.

That failure lies in the US military’s inability to deal with the Houthis, who have diverted oil traffic from the Persian Gulf to a longer, more expensive route bypassing Africa. The Saudis, disappointed by the third presidency of the Obama-like White House, prefer to play together with the Russians – on price escalation, and also reduce oil export volumes, which pushes prices up.

The second point: the US strategic oil reserves have decreased somewhat, and market players always play in such cases to increase the price in order to better sell the resource to replenish the reserves.

Gasoline prices on the domestic market in the United States have increased (by the way, slightly, a few cents per gallon), primarily due to the fact that a number of American refineries are undergoing repairs. Traditionally, American oil magnates are Republican sympathizers. I do not rule out that some of the refinery owners will put them in for repairs ahead of schedule in order to push prices higher and contribute to the Bidenites’ failure in the elections.

Thirdly, in fact, Ukrainian drones did not hit production facilities in Siberia.

Production in Russia has not fallen, and crude oil exports have even increased, despite the so-called sanctions. Just look at the data regularly monitored by the Black Sea Institute for Strategic Studies.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is not an oil refinery, it is a transport of crude oil from Kazakhstan, there is a separate terminal for its shipment. Therefore, the US concern regarding the CPC (allegedly Russia is threatening to attack the CPC oil pipeline, which runs through Russian territory – ) is far-fetched. If the White House does not know this, then this indicates terrible incompetence, which means it is an ideal opportunity for Chevron and ExxonMobil (these companies receive oil through CPC) to manipulate.
