Announcement of Xiaomi (Mijia) Glass – camera and AR in glasses format

Xiaomi, through its sub-brand Mijia, suddenly introduced a new type of gadget for itself – smart glasses. The device has an unusual positioning – a camera in the form of glasses. This is due to the fact that the gadget is a dual camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor with EIS and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with periscope optics and OIS (f / 3.4), capable of delivering 5x optical zoom and 15x hybrid zoom. The glasses support AR-package, can translate text, and the information is displayed on a bright (0.23 “) microLED display. The device is built on an unnamed eight-core Qualcomm chipset, contains 32 GB of internal memory, a 1020 mAh battery. The camera glasses will be put up for crowdfunding campaign on August 3 with a price tag of 2499 yuan (22,625 rubles), the standard price is 2699 yuan (25,015 rubles).
