Game studio Halfbrick announced that the long-awaited (the original was released back in 2011 ) sequel to the popular casual game Jetpack Joyride will be released in two weeks, on August 19th. However, there is one important nuance – the game will be released exclusively for the Apple Arcade service, which means that only iPhone owners who paid $ 4.99 per month for a game subscription will be able to play it.

Readers collected $180,000 for a fighter jet for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 10 days (another $2.5 million is needed). They help shoot down Russian missiles

The principle of the game remains the same – the main character in a rocket pack flies through an endless tunnel, destroying enemies and flying around obstacles. However, in the sequel, the developers promise improved graphics and animation, new costumes and enemies, as well as fresh game mechanics and even a plot.

Note that back in March 2021, the developers already tried to release Jetpack Joyride 2 in some regions on iOS and Android platforms, but eventually came to an exclusive with Apple Arcade. At the moment, it is not known whether the game will be made available for regular play on iOS (without a subscription) and whether the game will be released on the Android platform.
