Netflix releases NSFW trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - anime series from Trigger studio will be released on September 13

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released very soon: Netflix has confirmed that the anime spin-off based on the game CD Projekt Red will be released in two weeks, on September 13th. Now the online movie theater has published a very spectacular NSFW trailer for the highly anticipated adaptation, containing scenes of violence with rivers of blood and nudity. Also, the trailer has a strong stroboscopic effect and is not recommended for viewing by people with increased photosensitivity, especially those who suffer from epilepsy.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners NSFW trailer in original Japanese (with English subtitles)

An anime spin-off based on the CD Projekt Red universe was first announced in 2020. It will tell the story of a street kid, David Martinez, who is trying to survive in the city of the future Night City, obsessed with technology and body modifications. The series has 10 episodes lasting 30 minutes each.

The well-known Japanese studio Trigger was responsible for the adaptation (This is the same team that gave us such masterpieces as Promare, Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill). Music composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill). Other talented people also take part in the project – director Hiroyuki Imaishi, as well as writers Masahiko Otsuka and Yoshiki Usa.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is the next and obviously not the last addition to the library of Netflix animated series based on the relentlessly growing game – high-profile releases such as Castlevania , Dota: Dragon’s Blood , Arcane , The Cuphead Show have previously appeared in the online cinema. You can also remember Tekken: Bloodline – an anime that tells the extended story of Tekken 3, where the main character is Jin Kazama, will be released on August 18.
