What about metal? Google Pixel 7 Pro disassembly on video

November 03, 2022, 18:53

JerryRigEverything took it upon himself to figure out what went wrong in his durability tests , which almost caused the Google Pixel 7 Pro to fail. To do this, he took up the disassembly of the smartphone, where right from the start he failed – due to damage to the metal frame, the display failed. And this is not all that the author “destroyed” during his research. Shortly after the opening, the metal plate covering the system board (obviously, extremely low quality metal) received irreparable damage, and a little later, a new telephoto module with periscope optics (exclusively for educational purposes.

As for the main issue, the Pixel 7 Pro gave up due to the fact that the metal plate was made shorter compared to the Pixel 6 Pro, due to which the smartphone lost its rigidity in the area of the soft antenna strip. See the video below for the entire disassembly and reassembly process.
