In the coming weeks, a Tecno press conference is due to take place, during which the company will show the flagship smartphones Phantom X2 and X2 Pro based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The internal indexes of these models are AD8 and AD9. But in the bins of the company there is an even more interesting device – AD10. Today it appeared in the EEC registry, where its name was revealed: Tecno Phantom V Fold. Obviously, the smartphone will be Tecno’s first foldable device; moreover, according to rumors, we are talking about the Galaxy Z Fold / Xiaomi Mix Fold format, and not the Galaxy Z Flip / Huawei Pocket. Let’s see what Tecno is preparing.

However, do not think that Tecno will release the Phantom V Fold already at the November presentation along with the X2 and X2 Pro. Usually the company certifies smartphones in the EEC a little less than six months before the announcement (Phantom X2 and X2 Pro appeared in the registry in July), so you have to wait until February-March. Perhaps Tecno will tie the announcement of the clamshell to the MWC Barcelona 2023 conference. Undoubtedly, the device will be released in Russia; and given that Tecno has not yet released smartphones more expensive than 30-35 thousand rubles, we should expect a record low price for this segment from the Phantom V Fold.
