Huawei denies rumors of imminent return to Kirin chipsets

November 08, 2022, 01:37

Some time ago, information appeared on the Web that Huawei plans to resume production of Kirin chipsets and is even developing a flagship for 2023 with this hardware. This gossip has reached Huawei, but fans of the company will be disappointed. Chinese media, citing Huawei representatives, claim that all these reports are untrue. Huawei did not provide additional explanations, but this is perhaps unnecessary, since the sanctions policy against Huawei has not changed, and Huawei’s own developments in the field of mobile architecture are still far from the start of mass production of chips.

Huawei itself will continue to use Qualcomm’s 4G versions until the US authorities decide to remove the Chinese manufacturer from the blacklist of national security threats.
