The company has announced that its revolutionary 100in5 EV battery charging technology has been successfully tested by a leading independent battery laboratory in Israel.
The Shmuel De-Leon Energy Laboratory has successfully demonstrated the commercial viability of the StoreDot 100in5 cell and its superior fast charging capability as well as superior energy performance compared to other existing EV battery types.
Scientists at the Shmuel De-Leon Energy Laboratory evaluated the StoreDot cell’s energy density, charging speed, operating conditions, and cycleability.

Tests confirmed the cell’s industry-leading energy storage density of 300 Wh/kg, as well as performance after 1,000 consecutive cycles of ultra-fast battery charging.
“In recent months, we have successfully completed a public demonstration of charging StoreDot XFC batteries,” said StoreDot CEO Doron Myersdorf. “However, submitting our technology for independent evaluation by leading battery laboratory Shmuel De-Leon Energy was essential for independent validation of our ultra-fast charging technologies.”
The 100in5 cell successfully completed 1,000 ultra-fast charging cycles during an evaluation in October. The batteries were repeatedly charged from 10 to 80 percent capacity in just ten minutes, then discharged for one hour before being recharged. The company said that no noticeable battery degradation was reported until the first 600 cycles were completed.
Earlier this year, StoreDot began supplying EV batteries to OEM partners around the world for real-world testing.
Although testing is already underway, Shmuel De-Leon Energy’s analysis of the StoreDot batteries only confirmed that the cell could be one of the greatest advances in electric vehicle technology in recent memory. Battery life is definitely an issue for some demanding car buyers. Laboratory staff responsible for testing the new battery emphasized in the report:

StoreDot plans to commercially sell the 100in5 cells in 2024, and in the future will further reduce their charging time. The company plans to offer charging speeds of 100 miles (161 km) in three minutes by 2028, and 100 miles in two minutes within the next ten years.
