Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2 will officially launch on PlayStation 5 in fall 2023, Sony has announced. More specific timings are unknown, but the announced release window means that next year gamers will have another big game that many have been waiting for.
Sony shared a short and vague synopsis of the game’s plot:
“Following the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the spider duo of Peter Parker and Miles Morales return in the next chapter of Marvel’s Spider-Man series. There’s still a lot to say about the game, but even with the success of the last two games, we’re in for a fantastic new original Spider-Man adventure.”
Last year, Sony released a short teaser trailer that hinted that Vienna would be the antagonist in the game.

The previous games, Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales were released for PS4, PS5 and PC – Spider-Man 2 will launch exclusively on PS5. However, given Sony’s recent surge in PC sales, the company will probably release a PC version sooner rather than later.
