Ukrainians have created a list of phishing sites - it can be added to the browser and extensions to automatically block fraudsters

The team of the NGO “Social Innovators” has prepared a list of blocking (filters) of phishing sites that cheat Ukrainians of access to accounts of online banking systems, details of payment cards, confidential information and money. These are fraudulent web resources that are targeted specifically at citizens of Ukraine and are not included in other available filters.

Activists of the NGO “Social Innovators” tried to collect as many reliable sources of information about fraudulent sites as possible and make a block list compatible with almost all browsers, extensions and other software. Thanks to this, it is possible to configure the blocking of access to fraudulent resources at the level of the user’s browser or operating system. Thus, dangerous resources will be blocked automatically and regardless of whether it is an individual site or pages in social networks.

The team created a page of their project on Github, where they talk in detail about the list of blocking phishing sites, the features of its formation, as well as compatibility with various browsers (Brave) and plugins (uBlock Origin, Adblock Plus, AdBlock, AdGuard Browser extension). The page also offers instructions for adding the list to your browser and third-party extensions.
