A few days ago, the sad anniversary of the vile Russian invasion of Ukraine will take place. On February 24, 2022, around 4 a.m., the Russian occupiers launched a full-scale military aggression, which they still shyly and cowardly call a “special military operation.” For the anniversary of this date, “Ukrposhta” has prepared a new stamp that symbolizes the response of the Ukrainian people to the aggressor – “PTN PNG!”.
“It was not an easy task to convey the mood of that date. But, it seems, with the art of the famous artist Banksy, which he left on the ruins in Borodyanka, we succeeded. And the future – in the person of the boy, will definitely win over the past, which is stuck in the head of the sick dictator and all those who support him. Or, as the President said at the Munich conference last week, David will defeat Goliath,” stressed the head of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyanskyi.
Brand “PTN PNG!” will be put into circulation on the anniversary of the beginning of the war – February 24. However, from February 20, you can pre-order it in the official Ukrposhta online store. Orders are limited to 10 stamps per order. Already from February 24, it will be possible to purchase the postal issue “PTN PNG!” in Ukrposhta branches and in the company’s official stores on marketplaces.
The circulation of the postage stamp is 1,500,000 copies or 250,000 vintage letters.
“The print run of the stamp is 250,000 sheets (6 stamps each) or, as some intelligence officers say, 1 sheet for each destroyed occupier’s armed forces,” Smilyanskyi wrote.
The new postage stamp is charitable. Anyone who purchases the PTN PNG brand! becomes a participant in a charity project. The denomination of the stamp is F (corresponds to the tariff for sending a registered letter weighing up to 50 g within Ukraine). The price of a stamped letter is 180 UAH, of which 42 UAH. – charitable contribution. The stamps will be accompanied by a “First Day” envelope, an art envelope, a postcard, and a themed sweatshirt.
Mail issue “PTN PNG!” holders of philatelic subscriptions are guaranteed to receive after payment. Only for them the set of products “PTN PNG!” will also contain an envelope marked “First Day. Kyiv”, which can be obtained in another way only by visiting the capital in person on the day of the introduction of the postage stamp into circulation.
