Apple has already made the full transition to OLED with its flagship iPhone lineup, but the specifications of the panels themselves are patchy. So, in the iPhone 13, the two younger models received the classic 60Hz panel, and the Pro versions received 120Hz screens. The trend will continue this season, and the displays will be of different generations. According to The Elec, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature M12-series displays, which will first see the light of day in the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, while the other two models will feature M11 “organic crystals” previously available in the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra (Galaxy S22 has an M10 series screen).

Belonging to the M11 series does not mean that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will receive 120 Hz and LTPO – according to media reports, they will have good old LTPS technology. The material says that as an alternative, Apple will supply LG screens for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Not a word about the Chinese VOE. The presentation of the iPhone 14 will take place in the first half of September.
