Samsung promised to start testing One UI 5.0 on Android 13 in July, but something went wrong and that timeline shifted a bit. However, today, August 5, the firmware is already available for a limited number of users. It is noteworthy that from the very beginning, the new software can be installed on the Exynos version of the Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra – the screenshots below are taken on a German copy of the flagship. The required assembly is S90xBXXU2ZHV4 , the size is about 2.5 GB. Key changes include new gestures to trigger multitasking, a notification filter for extremely active apps, updated audio settings, document search, improvements to DeX mode, and Bixby scripts. Samsung’s key branded applications have also been updated. Samsung will tell you more about the new firmware later. We expect the final build in the fall.
