A simple math calculation brings us to the number “9”, and the hint “check your calendar” clearly indicates that the company is trying to hint at the date of the announcement. Early rumors pointing to October suggest a launch on October 9th, but it’s a Sunday – it’s unlikely that the launch will take place over the weekend.

Another option could be November 9th, but that’s way too late, especially given the official reveal of the Pixel 7 series so early . Therefore, the nine indicates either September 9th or September itself as the 9th month of the year. This means that Google intends to release dangerously close to the main event of the year – the launch of the iPhone 14 series, which is expected on September 6 or 13.
