Testing of the English version of documents and car sharing will soon begin in the Diya public services application. Everyone can participate in beta testing of new features, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
At the May press briefing of the International Diia Summit in Davos, the Ministry of Digital Development reported that more than 17.3 million Ukrainians use the Diia app, compared to 14 million at the beginning of February 2022. And the international recognition of the Diya application is one of the priority areas of work – a month ago, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced preparations for the launch of beta testing of documents in English. And now the team is actually moving to this stage – you can take part at this link.
Three digital documents in English
Soon, the international passport, driver’s license and registration certificate will be displayed in Diya in Latin letters – in May it was reported that digital documents in Diya were preparing to recognize Poland, Moldova and several other countries. The main goals of the beta test are to check the correctness of displaying documents in English and the correctness of filling in all fields.
To participate in the beta test, you need to have one of the documents in Diya: a passport, a driver’s license or a registration certificate. It is important that Ukrainians who are now abroad also take part in the beta test, the Ministry of Digital Development notes.
Return of the technical passport sharing function (User service)
The car sharing service was presented during the Diia Summit in February . This service allows you to transfer the right to drive a car to other people. Previously assign the correct user A proper user is an individual who legally uses a vehicle that does not belong to him could be offline at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or in the driver’s office. The service of a number of cars became unavailable along with others after the full-scale invasion of Russia, when state registries were temporarily disabled to protect the data of Ukrainians. Now the registries are working again and the Ministry of Digital Transformation wants to restore the car sharing service in Diya, since now this service is especially relevant (many Ukrainians have taken the cars of relatives or friends since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to go to safer places). But you need to test the sharing service again to make sure everything works as expected. Two people must take part in the beta test – the owner of the car and the driver who wants to become a proper user.
To participate in the car sharing beta test, you need to have:
- passport in “Diya” – foreign or ID-card;
- for the owner: the registration certificate of the vehicle to which the proper user will be assigned;
- for the right user: a driver’s license of the appropriate category.
- “Diya” is a Ukrainian electronic service of public services. The portal and the Diya application are available to users. On the portal, you can get 70+ public services online, and in the updated mobile application, you can access 12 of your digital documents and 23 services.
