7 more outdated Samsung smartphones receive an unscheduled software update

Samsung continues to send unscheduled software updates to long-outdated smartphone models. The first was the Galaxy J7 (2015), the other day the update arrived to the owners of the Galaxy S7 and S8 series, and now seven more models have joined them. The oldest among them is Galaxy Alpha , released back in 2014. This is the brand’s first solution with a premium design, metal edges and the then-new Gorilla Glass 4. 2015 devices also received updates: the Galaxy S5 Neo and the Galaxy S6 series (S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+). Rounding out the lucky winners are the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy A7 (2018). As in previous cases, the update solves a certain problem associated with GPS, and in the case of the Galaxy S6 line, it will also please with “stability fixes and performance improvements.”
