OPPO has announced the launch of the budget OPPO A96 in Russia. By tradition, the device has nothing to do with OPPO A96 for the Chinese market . In fact, the device is an almost complete copy of the brainchild of a subsidiary brand: Realme 9i . Almost everything matches, from dimensions and weight to the Snapdragon 680 chip and cameras. Speaking of the latter, one of the 2-megapixel caps was thrown away, leaving the 50-megapixel main sensor with a 2-megapixel sensor for the bokeh effect. The front camera, cut into a hole in the corner of the 6.59″ LTPS screen (90 Hz, FHD +), has a resolution of 16 MP and supports AI enhancements.
The OPPO A96 is also ready to offer a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging, NFC, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone audio jack. The lid, according to the description from the press release, is made of glass and comes in two colors: blue and black. The software base is the ColorOS 11.1 shell (the Android version is not mentioned). The OPPO A96 will hit the Russian shelves at a recommended retail price of 21,990 rubles.
