Following the release of a portable game console in the Win Max 2 netbook form factor (we talked about this device in the selection “TOP 10 modern game consoles” ), GPD started developing another gaming device. The new version of GPD Win 4 looks more like a portable game console, but still contains a physical keyboard.
The GPD Win 4 portable game console received an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor, which includes 8 computing cores based on the Zen3 + architecture and a GPU with 12 computing units based on the RDNA2 architecture. The device also contains a 6-inch display that can be lifted up to reveal a physical keyboard.
With the keyboard closed, the design of the device resembles the Sony PlayStation Portable series. The GPD Win 4 console has an ergonomic rounded body, removable analog sticks with Hall sensors, a USB Type-C connector, a fingerprint scanner and a trackpad.
The date of the start of sales and the price of the GPD Win 4 portable game console have not yet been announced.
