While Samsung is slashing repair costs for the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 by 8x in an effort to attract new customers, Xiaomi is taking a different path with the fresh Mix Fold 2 . After waiting almost 3 weeks since the announcement, the company announced the prices for the repair of new items. And they are, frankly, not the most humane. So, just replacing the folding display will cost 4899 yuan (42,830 rubles) – more than half the price of the Mix Fold 2.

The second most expensive is the replacement of the motherboard – 2800 yuan (24,500 rubles). Thus, if both of these elements are damaged, it becomes almost easier to purchase a new Mix Fold 2 for 8999 yuan (for the base model 12/256 GB). But an external screen or battery can be replaced much cheaper – for 900 and 400 yuan, respectively (7900 and 3500 rubles). At the same time, the strength of the Mix Fold 2 remains unknown, which, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 4 , has not yet passed the proprietary strength test from blogger JerryRigEverything.
