Logitech has released three G502 X mice, an update to the G502, which the company says is the most popular gaming mouse in the world. The new Logitech G502 X comes in three flavors: the standard G502 X, the G502 X Lightspeed, and the G502 X Plus. For the first time in the series, black and white coloring of manipulators is available.
Differences between the three mice do not affect basic functions. They all come with Logitech’s new opto-mechanical mouse switches that combine the benefits of both types.
Optical switches provide fast actuation, improved reliability and long life – no physical contact is required to actuate the buttons.
However, Logitech has developed a mechanical trigger that provides improved tactile feedback when a button is pressed. The company named these dual switches Lightforce.
The DPI switch button has been redesigned and is now detachable and reversible so it can be used with different grip options. The scroll wheel has also been redesigned to be more stable and lighter.
The new Hero 25K DPI sensors provide one-to-one accuracy at the sub-micron level. Logitech says it does not use any filtering, anti-aliasing, or sensor acceleration.
The standard Logitech G502 X is a wired version of the mouse, while the Lightspeed and Plus models use Logitech Lightspeed’s dedicated wireless connection for lag-free connectivity.
The Logitech G502 X Plus features Lightsync RGB lighting with eight customizable LEDs. The backlight can automatically turn on and off depending on the mode of use to conserve battery power.
Wireless versions of the mouse can be charged via USB-C or by using Logitech Powerplay charging mats to wirelessly charge your mouse while you play.
The Logitech G502 X family of manipulators is already on sale. and these are the first G502 mice to come in both black and white. The G502 X standard model is $79.99, the Lightspeed version is $139.99, and the Plus model is $159.99.
