Last year, Tecno introduced its first flagship smartphone, the Phantom X. He offered a lot of interesting features (waterfall screen, five useful cameras, including the base on the GN1), but he was deprived of iron: the flagship was based on the MediaTek Helio G95. Two months ago, we said that their sequels Phantom X2 and X2 Pro would soon appear in Russia – and we feared that they would be built according to the same formula. But everything turned out to be completely different.
According to the Tech Arena24 blogger (most likely used by Tecno as a channel for controlled leaks), the Tecno Phantom X2 smartphone will receive the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. At the same time, the screenshots shown by the source do not even mention Dimensity 9000+. However, it is possible that the older one will be saved for the Phantom X2 Pro, and the regular Phantom X2 will receive the Dimensity 9000. Among other characteristics, the source calls a slightly curved display (no more waterfalls) and the absence of an audio jack. We will learn about other parameters of the new Tecno flagships closer to the announcement.
