According to authoritative insider Tom Henderson, Need for Speed Unbound is coming soon. However, its release was pushed back to December 2, although it was originally planned to be released on November 4. It will only be released on PC and the latest generation of consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X).
The official announcement of Need for Speed Unbound is expected in early October, when a debut trailer of about 90 seconds will be shown. The soundtrack was composed by rapper A$AP Rocky.
Last year, development on Need for Speed Unbound was put on hold as Electronic Arts commissioned Criterion Games to co-develop Battlefield 2042. Criterion then resumed development on the game and was joined by Codemasters Cheshire, now part of the Criterion studio.
Previous rumors have claimed that the game map called Lakeshore City was inspired by Chicago. Need for Speed Unbound allegedly features anime-like graphics such as cartoonish tire flames, smoke, sparks, and more. The multiplayer mode will include Meetups, allowing players to gather in a specific area of the map and race right there.
