Volunteer organization “Countrymen. Ukrainian Front” together with Ukrainian artists, directors, animators and musicians created the animated series “Mariupol. Military chronicles of a civilian. It is based on real events and was created according to the diary of a woman who spent three weeks with her family in the occupation of Mariupol.
Natalia and her family were in Mariupol at the initial stage of the war. She survived the bombing and occupation and was later able to escape. Natalya saw the horrors of Russian aggression with her own eyes and wrote down events and life from her life during the war in a once peaceful city in her diary.
The purpose of creating the series “Mariupol. Military Chronicles of a Civilian” – dissemination of truthful information about the tragedy in Mariupol around the world, the fight against disinformation and Russian propaganda, information support and the dissemination of the problem of internally displaced persons.
The authors published a teaser “Mariupol. Military chronicles of a civilian. The series will premiere on October 12th. From 12 to 14 October you can watch the first 3 episodes. Further episodes will be released once a week every Friday. The animated series has 23 episodes with an average duration of 3-5 minutes. Now it is dubbed in the original language (Natalia kept a diary in Russian) and in Ukrainian, dubbing in English is in development. The series will be available on YouTube as well as podcasts and Twitter.
