Against the backdrop of Samsung’s gloomy report for the third quarter, the news of the South Korean edition of The Elec about future Galaxy tablets also looks natural. It is reported that Samsung Electronics has postponed the development of the flagship series Galaxy Tab S9, which, according to the original plan, was supposed to launch in December this year. Presumably, the reason for the delay in development was global economic uncertainty, and with it the expectation of a drop in demand in the tablet market due to the calming of the COVID-19 pandemic and weakening consumer sentiment. The graph below clearly demonstrates the situation in the tablet market, according to which the share of Samsung in the third quarter collapsed to the level of 11-12%, almost equaling much smaller players in the segment like Huawei and Lenovo.
