A page dedicated to the new EMUI 13 proprietary shell, which the company continues to develop for international device models, unexpectedly appeared on the Huawei global website. As expected, the newcomer is based on HarmonyOS 3.0 , inheriting all the key innovations from it. Standing apart among them is the new concept of widget-cards on the desktop, which allows you to access advanced application functionality with a single gesture without having to launch them. Widgets can be resized and even combined into folders, which, by the way, are also subject to change in shape and size. The SuperHub function will not be superfluous – a convenient clipboard into which you can easily and quickly place texts, pictures and documents for further work.
Another important aspect of EMUI 13 is the concept of Super Device, according to which the smartphone acts as the unifying center of the ecosystem of devices, from TWS headphones and smartwatches, to Huawei Vision TVs, MateBook laptops and MatePad Paper readers. Another interesting option is SuperStorage, which can free up storage space by removing duplicate files and compressing infrequently used applications.
A special section that migrated from Android 12 now allows you to simplify control over the privacy of your smartphone. In it, you can get an idea of u200bu200bwhich applications access personal data and how often, as well as activate the cleaning of the metadata of photos published on the Internet. The list of devices that will receive the update to EMUI 13 is not yet mentioned by Huawei.
