Wan Zhiqiang, assistant vice president of Meizu, posted on Weibo asking readers to choose a design for the brand’s new flagship store. Two options were presented to the public, both of which suggest that the store will sell (or at least exhibit) cars. Most likely, these will be Geely cars, the company that recently bought Meizu.
Thus, while retaining the cell phone business, Meizu becomes Geely’s software division. This is evidenced by the new design of the company’s headquarters in Zhuhai with a huge poster “All in auto”. AUTO, however, is proposed to be deciphered as an abbreviation, where AUT is Alive User Things (Live User Things, whatever that means), and the decoding of the letter O in the photo is hidden behind the trees.
