Henry Cavill, who played Superman and Geralt, once again publicly expressed his love for the PC as a gaming platform. One would expect such a busy actor to have a hard time finding time for computer entertainment, but this is not the case. During a recent podcast recording, he was asked about how much time he spends in front of a monitor. In response, he stated that “quite a lot.”
In an attempt to clarify the details, Josh Horowitz joked:
“Only four hours a day?”
To which Cavill admitted that perhaps even more.
Henry Cavill also mentioned his favorite video game series Total War: Warhammer. He cleared the second game six times in six different races. He also plays Total War: Warhammer III.
“I love this game, it’s so good,” Cavill said enthusiastically.
Another question to Cavill was if he had the most valuable thing for geeks. One could assume that he would name his PC, which he himself built using RTX 2080 Ti and Ryzen 9 3900X. But the actor pointed to a massive statue of the Lich King sent to him by Blizzard. Once on television, he had to explain the difference between Warhammer and Warcraft.
Henry Cavill, in one form or another, appeared in some computer games. For example, in the DLC in Total War: Warhammer II, there is a unit named Cavill, Loremaster of Hoeth, who has an ability called the White Wolf. He also appears in Star Citizen’s single-player campaign, Squadron 42, although it’s not entirely clear when it will release.
