Today, the well-known informant Ice Universe managed to lift the veil of secrecy, sharing screenshots of the list of chip characteristics. So, this is a 1/1.56″ solution with a resolution of 50.3 megapixels and a pixel size of 1 µm (2 µm in 4-in-1 binning). Attentive readers must have noticed that these are the same parameters that the hit IM766 offers. True , there is at least one important difference: the rate of fire of the IMX890. According to the document, the sensor is capable of capturing 30 shots per second at full 50MP resolution.

Also mentioned is the advanced 2×2 OCL autofocus technology and the many and support for RAW10 video shooting. It is possible that there are other innovations, although one should not expect any breakthrough regarding the IMX766.
