The gaming season is in full swing and the next 30 days will not slow down. Of particular note are several potential contenders for Game of the Year and an experiment with a series that could end in massive failure.

Kratos is already on the verge of the final stage of Scandinavian history, and judging by the first press reviews, the game turned out exactly as we expected – better than the previous one in every way. Improved gameplay and graphics, new monsters, new and reworked old locations. Full reviews will be on November 03, and we will find out how the game will be received by the players in a week.

Sonic Frontiers

Genre: Action, Adventure, Platformer

Release date: November 08

Platforms: PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

The announcement of Sonic Frontiers raised a lot of questions from fans of the series. Sega has already had a successful experience of moving Sonic into full-fledged 3D, but the open world for the series will be a first. And unfortunately, the latest gameplay videos inspire more and more doubts about such a cardinal transformation of the series.

Somerville

Genre: Action, Adventure

Release Date: November 15

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Not much is known about Somerville. The game was announced 5 years ago, and the co-author of Limbo and Inside is developing it. According to the plot, the earth was attacked by aliens who can mimic objects of different sizes, from household appliances to entire houses. A family will try to survive among this evil, and the success of this mission will depend on the actions of each family member. The game has been in development for over eight years now and, according to the developers, they have been trying to bring a unique gameplay and story experience to life.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2

Genre: FPS, Action

Release Date: November 16

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Activision itself calls Warzone 2 an evolution of its predecessor and the genre as a whole. New map in the scenery of Western Asia – Al-Mazra, updated Gulag and a redesigned Battle Pass system. Of the new, this is the DMZ sandbox mode, and the mechanics of the end of the game, when instead of a gradually narrowing circle, several safety zones will be used, which will be combined into one before the end of the match.

On the negative side, Warzone 2 and Call of Duty license plates still share a common database (which is handy for developers), and you’ll have to download the entire Warzone to play Call of Duty’s story mode.

Goat Simulator 3

Genre: FPS, Action

Release Date: November 16

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S

The mischievous goat is back in the sequel (yes, the sequel) to the 2014 hit, now with a bunch of friends. In addition to co-op, the game received a mountain of additional content and mini-games. It will be possible to beat people with horns or enjoy peace (what else is peace?) in the company of yoga practitioners in the middle of the month. Unfortunately, the game will ignore the past generation of consoles.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me

Genre: Interactive drama, survival horror

Release Date: November 18

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Studio Supermassive Games, which once made a wonderful horror film Until Dawn, is gaining momentum with its anthology and for the fourth year in a row has released one series each. The new part is called The Devil in Me and will tell the story of documentarians invited to the modern reconstruction of the “Killer Castle” by Henry Holmes, the first official US serial killer.

Evil West

Genre: TPS, Action

Release date: November 22

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Cowboy fantasy action from the creators of the Shadow Warrior relaunch, inspired by Devil May Cry and God of War.

Attention, the game is issued by the French Focus Entertainment, which cooperates with the Russians (publishes the Russian game Atomic Heart), but the developers, the Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, openly support the Ukrainians.

Just Dance 2023

Genre: Action

Release date: November 22

Platforms: Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S

One of the best party games is fully transitioning to a service track with yearly updates and new content being gradually added. Just Dance 2023 will receive a redesigned interface and improved social and online features. For some reason, the game has bypassed the previous generation of consoles and PC and will no longer support PlayStation Move and Kinect.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

Genre: MMORPG

Release Date: November 28

Platforms: PC

Already the ninth full addition to the most popular MMORPG. The Dragon Isles are divided into five zones, a redesigned interface, professions and class talents. New race Draktyra (Dracthyr) with a unique heroic class – Awakener (Evoker). The fans did not really like the announcement trailer, but we will find out whether the dragons will return the players to the game at the end of the month.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Genre: TPS, Action

Release Date: November 30

Platforms: PC (new on Xbox Series X|S)

The game is the ideological heir to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 from the same studio. In Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will have to fend off waves of enemies in the company of three more partners. Allow you to choose from four classes and fully customize your character to your liking.

Reissue and additions

But if none of the new products appealed, pay attention to old projects that will get a new breath. On November 10, the first story add-on for Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties is released, in which you will have to wade through the local Colosseum and bring local businessmen to clean water.

Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 3 release on Nintendo Switch on November 11 and 18, respectively. Syberia: The World Before finally arrives on current-gen consoles on November 15, while Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales hits PC on November 18.
