On November 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted amendments to the regulations governing the receipt of a driver’s license and vehicle registration certificate – from December 14, it will be possible to refuse plastic forms and draw up these documents exclusively in electronic form, without visiting the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This means that electronic versions of documents will not only become the equivalent of physical plastic documents, but will be able to completely replace them. If earlier, when registering a car or obtaining a driver’s license, it was mandatory to issue plastic forms of these documents, then starting from December 14, in case of receiving an online service, it will be possible to refuse the forms.

It will be possible to order and receive an E-certificate or an E-certificate through the driver’s electronic account or through the Diya application . At the same time, a citizen pays only for an administrative service, that is, without taking into account the cost of blank products (approximately ₴254 when obtaining a driver’s license for the first time).

They do not plan to completely abandon the “plastic” yet – traditional plastic forms, if desired, can be obtained at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
