In November, we are waiting for the presentation of both flagship chipsets for Android flagships of 2023 – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9200. While we wait for official data, Digital Chat Station gives its information on the basic characteristics of both chips. If it is true, the chips will have a different structure: 1+2+2+2 for Qualcomm and 1+3+3 for MediaTek. Each will be based on a custom Cortex-X3 core with a frequency of 3.19 and 3.05 GHz, respectively. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be assisted by pairs of Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710 (up to 2.8 GHz in both cases), while the Dimensity 9200 will have a trio of Cortex-A715 at 2.85 GHz. But the energy-saving cores are the same – Cortex-A510 at 2 GHz (MediaTek has one more).

The tests will have to compare Adreno 740 graphics accelerators for Snapdragon Gen 2 and Mali-G715 for Dimensity 9200. They will also have different image processing chips, audio chips and other little things. Recall, MediaTek will report on November 8, and Qualcomm on November 15.
