Garmin has expanded its line of rugged watches with fitness capabilities. The Instinct Crossover is priced at $499.99 and comes with an unusual detail: luminescent-coated physical hands.
The gadget looks like a traditional watch, but comes with basic smart features like push notifications and alarms. The Garmin Instinct Crossover is for people who want a traditional and elegant wristwatch with everyday activity tracking.
Garmin has maintained a traditional design in this model, reminiscent of the atmosphere of Casio. The watch hands glow in the dark and are equipped with the new RevoDrive technology, which automatically calibrates their position in case the watch has been subjected to shock. If you need to see the data on the screen, the arrows can be moved to a horizontal position, and then return the correct display of time – see this effect on the official timecode video (0:16 s)
The Instinct Crossover is 10 ATM water resistant, thermal and impact resistant. You get a wide range of Garmin fitness and health features, including Body Battery, workout monitoring, heart rate changes, and recovery time. Also, the model is equipped with GPS and Garmin Pay.
Garmin promises a month of battery life for the base watch model. By adding $50 to its price, you can purchase an option with solar charging – with it they promise up to 70 days of autonomy. For an additional $100, you can get the Instinct Crossover Solar Tactical Edition with night vision, stealth mode, and other “tactical” features.
Smart watches Garmin Instinct 2 Solar can work without recharging “forever” – if you walk under the sun for several hours a day
