The FILM.UA film studio has published a trailer for the upcoming Ukrainian-Italian family comedy Cosa Nostra. Mom їde”, in which the famous Ukrainian actress Irma Vitovskaya played the main role (the series “Lesya + Roma”, “Brama”, “My thoughts are quiet”). The film, which has been in production for five whole years, was created in co-production between Ukraine and Italy.
The main character Vlada Koza, played by Irma Vitovskaya, is the personification of a brave, caring and resourceful Ukrainian mother who is capable of much, if not everything, for the sake of her family.
According to the plot, the main character sells her house in the Carpathians and flies to sunny Sicily to help her daughter take care of her grandson. But the arrival of her mother was a surprise for her daughter, and after a quarrel, Vlada gets a job as a housekeeper to the head of the mafia clan, Don Fredo. In the past, a powerful mafia, and now a widower is experiencing deep crises – personal, family and financial. The heroine becomes the salvation of Don Fredo’s house: a mother for his children’s children and a reformer of the still old, inefficient and, most importantly, inhumane mafia.
Director of Cosa Nostra. Mom is here” – Italian Giovanni Dota. In addition to Irma Vitovskaya, Dmitry Vivcharuk and Olga Vivcharuk starred in the film. Most of the roles were played by Italian actors – Giovanni Calcagno, Giuditta Vasile, Lorenzo Scalzo, Gabriele Chichirello, Maurizio Bologna, Vincenzo Pirrotta and others. The main shooting took place in the Ukrainian Carpathians, on the island of Sicily and in the vicinity of Rome in difficult pandemic times (we also shot some scenes in Kiev during the war ) – it should turn out colorful and authentic. Yes, and the trailer leaves a good impression, and the music of the Ukrainian ethnic group “Dakhabraha” only enhances the effect.
