Elon Musk has announced several innovations that will soon be coming to the Twitter social network. Yes, the company is currently working on a software update that will make it clear whether there are restrictions in the form of a shadow ban on a user account.
A shadow ban is a restriction that makes an account’s message invisible to other users. Difficulty finding a profile is also possible. Musk says the upcoming tool will also explain the reason a user was banned and provide instructions on how to file an appeal. There is no word yet on how or when Twitter will implement this feature.

The announcement of the new feature came shortly after Barry Weiss released the second installment of The Twitter Files. In the thread, Weiss wrote that Twitter used “visibility filtering” (apparently another term for a shadow ban) on some conservatives. Musk, a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist,” began unblocking several controversial users after buying Twitter, including former US President Donald Trump, the notorious neo-Nazi creator of The Daily Stormer Andrew Anglin and other white nationalists.
