What happened

The full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine affected, in particular, the sphere of cyber security. Due to the increase in the number and power of threats, there is currently a shortage of personnel, ineffective technical means of protection, as well as a lack of a systematic approach to the development of cyber security. This can affect the work of organizations and enterprises.

The CISO Ukraine Association together with Octava Defence, Accord Group and “iForum.Kyberscene” invite CIOs and CISOs of Ukrainian enterprises to take part in a survey on the topic of cyber resilience.

Based on the results of the study, a comprehensive report will be prepared on the maturity of cyber security systems in three aspects: technological, operational and organizational.

“The Association of CISO Ukraine, which unites leading industry experts, decided to conduct a survey, – say the authors of the study. – It will help to systematize and describe the levels of development of the cyber security function of Ukrainian organizations and to determine strategies that will strengthen cyber resilience.”

The CISO Ukraine Association is an association of heads of information security departments that improve the quality of the organization of the cyber security function in Ukraine. Among them are representatives of such companies as Metinvest Group, Kyivstar, Vodafone, Octava Capital, Fozzy Group, PrivatBank and others.

The report will be available at the beginning of 2023. The organizers plan that about 1,200 companies will take part in the survey.

The survey from the CISO Ukraine association can be completed in 10 minutes using the link. For example, there are questions about the company’s progress in certain areas of cybersecurity, the use of technology, and even the hours of operation of the cybersecurity service.

The survey will run from December 1, 2022 to January 20, 2023. Participants are offered to fill out the questionnaire on their own or to share their observations during a personal interview with the project coordinators.

Leading cybersecurity practices and recognized cyber frameworks such as NIST, MITRE, ISO and others will be used to assess companies’ maturity.

In addition, for each completed survey questionnaire, the authors will transfer 100 hryvnias to the Foundation for Educational Initiatives, which, together with UNDP, creates educational STEM hubs for internally displaced persons: children, youth and their parents.

This is a platform where they will be able to gain new knowledge. It will combine trained STEM trainers and a computer classroom with a set of educational electronics for workshops and STEM projects, connected to the Internet.
