Ukraine has already received 73 tons of energy equipment from France, which has already been transferred to companies for the restoration and stabilization of Ukraine’s energy system.
France is preparing for Ukraine a batch of equipment necessary to restore the energy system.
As reported on the Government Portal, this was stated by the Minister of Energy Transition of the French Republic, Agnes Panier-Runachet, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
The Cabinet of Ministers noted that the parties discussed support for Ukraine’s energy sector after Russian shelling, the necessity and possibility of introducing sanctions against Russia regarding supplies of nuclear fuel and technologies for nuclear energy.
The head of government also thanked France for the assistance provided, in particular, almost 73 tons of energy equipment, which has already been transferred to Ukrainian companies for the restoration and stabilization of Ukraine’s energy system.
“We are working with our partners so that Ukraine successfully passes the winter and moves to sustainable recovery and the introduction of new modern technologies in the energy sector,” Shmyhal said.
Missile strikes on the Ukrainian energy system
Since the beginning of October, Russia has carried out eight waves of massive missile attacks on the objects of critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
Ukrenergo said that in two months, Russia fired more than a thousand heavy missiles and drones at energy facilities.
The last massive Russian missile attack took place on December 5. On this day, the Air Defense Forces shot down 61 of more than 70 enemy missiles.
