In Ukraine, emergency power outages continue, which can be caught by surprise in various life situations, including when working with an ATM or a terminal. The Government portal published an explanation and a clear algorithm of actions in such situations — when the terminal suddenly stopped working due to a power outage directly when money was deposited into the account.
What to do in case of disconnection of the ATM/terminal due to power failure when depositing money to the account
- Call the hotline 3700 (PrivatBank) or 0800300102 (iBox) and apply for a refund.
- Report the number of the terminal, its address, the deposited amount and the approximate time of the operation.
- After the application has been processed and the terminal has been collected, the funds not received will be returned to the bank card.
How else can you withdraw cash if the ATM is not working?
You can get cash not only at banks and ATMs, but also at the cash desks of stores, pharmacies, and gas stations. To do this, you need to pay for any purchase with a card and ask the cashier to withdraw the required amount of cash from it. Thus, you can keep from 500 hryvnias, but no more than 6,000 hryvnias.
It is also possible to withdraw cash from a card in “Ukrposhta” and “Novaya Poshta” by contacting any branch of the postal operator.
