The police reported that the elderly man who committed the shooting was not in his right mind.
A man who shot and killed three people at a Kurdish cultural center has admitted to police that he did it out of “pathological hatred of foreigners”.
According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the man went to the rue d’Anjou in the 10th arrondissement to shoot Kurds, whom he accuses of “taking prisoners during the fight against ISIS instead of killing them,” reports Le Figaro.
It is noted that the man is mentally ill and is currently in the psychiatric hospital of the police headquarters, which he told that he “always wanted to kill migrants, foreigners” since the robbery of his house in 2016.

The next day, Kurdish protests began in Paris, and on December 24, they turned into a confrontation. In particular, the police clashed with Kurdish demonstrators who were outraged by the murder of three members of their community by an armed criminal.
