Developers from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World presented a new gameplay trailer for the game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which contains recordings of cutscenes and gameplay. It should be noted that the game was supposed to be released this year, but due to Russia’s treacherous attack on Ukraine, plans had to be revised. As a result, the developers postponed the release of the game to 2023.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an open-world first-person shooter with survival and RPG elements. As in the case of the first part, the events take place in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, where “stalkers” penetrate in search of artifacts and easy profit. They are hindered by anomalies, mutants and rival factions.
The new trailer for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl opens with a group of scientists spending years tapping into Earth’s information field, the Noosphere. This event had the same impact as the conquest of space. Short lines from a knowledgeable scientist alternate with gameplay footage showing anomalies, battles with enemies and mutants, and peaceful gatherings around a campfire. The trailer ends with the announcement that the game will be released in 2023 (it was known before, the exact date was never given), and it is already available for pre-order at www.stalker2.com.
