The year 2022 is coming to an end, and while you are familiar with personal results in various services and through the prism of wartime remember how it was in IT, games, cinema, science, space and other fields, we have traditionally collected some interesting statistics for you and talk about editorial work in the past year. Let’s not complain that the year turned out, to put it mildly, not very well, and most of the plans came to nothing, because the terrorist state of Russia still exists, but let’s focus on the good. The biggest achievement is definitely that we managed to survive and save the project. A huge thank you and a low bow to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteers, energy workers and all other Ukrainian titans who work for our joint victory!

Assistance to volunteers and armed forces

The war left its mark on each of us. Materials on military equipment, various useful wartime services and volunteer initiatives appeared on ITC.ua. First of all, I would like to mention your contribution to a bright future – since April, when a special project to help volunteer initiatives was launched, readers of ITC.UA and other Creators Media Group sites have supported 10 meetings and together donated UAH 8,164,555 for them. In addition, you donated 7 million hryvnias for the purchase of a fighter within the framework of the “Buy me a combat plane” collection, organized by the BF “Aviatsia Halychyna”. How many of us?

For 2022, ITC.UA 17.4 million people visited. They spent 39.5 million sessions on the site, viewed 62.6 million pages and left about 126.5 thousand comments. These comments also garnered hundreds of thousands of reactions and interactions. On average, about 50,000 users visit the site every day, viewing 150-200,000 pages. The maximum number of users was recorded on October 21 – 316,589 people and almost 345,472 visits. This value became a new record for resource visits! The largest number of views fell on the second day — January 13, on which site materials were viewed 448,719 times. Not the last role in achieving this record was played by the loud note about “Bloody Eagle”.

Who is from where and on what?

The majority of ITC.ua readers are from Ukraine – almost 70% (35.7% of them are from Kyiv). The other 30% was distributed between Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the USA, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia. By the way, we were blocked in Russia a long time ago, which is why the ITC.UA editors are very happy. This year, ITC.ua was visited by users from 229 different countries and territories, although it is quite possible that VPN services played a role here. As for the language settings on users’ devices, the situation is as follows:About 83% of all visits to ITC.UA are on mobile devices. Among them, the Android OS predictably leads (65%), while iOS accounts for a little more than 17%. There are those who still use Tizen, Windows Phone and BlackBerry, although there are very few of them – parts of these retro platforms are at the level of statistical error. The share of visits from PCs and laptops decreased to almost 17% — Windows (13.7%), macOS (2.3%), Linux (0.87%) and Chrome OS (0.04%). The most popular browser among ITC.UA visitors – and there are no surprises here either – remains the undisputed market leader Google Chrome with a share of 72.5%. It is followed by Safari (13.7%), Opera (2.6%) and Samsung Internet (1.6%). The shares of Firefox and Edge are very modest and are 1.26% and 0.5%, respectively.

What was read and discussed the most?

We managed to publish it in a year 219 reviews and 286 articles, as well as almost 5300 news items. Interestingly, there are enough texts from pre-war times in the tops. Another important achievement — in 2022, 120 partner projects were published on ITC.UA, which were read more than 400,000 times.
