At CES 2023, Kohler announced a new Sprig aromatherapy shower infusion system consisting of a special gadget and aroma capsules.
The company promises that the system will turn the daily ritual of bathing into a trip to the SPA: the capsules will fill the water flow with the aromas of eucalyptus, chamomile and lavender, as well as substances useful for the skin – hyaluronic acid or salts.
Kohler notes that these substances are safe for the body and the system should be used within a few minutes.

In general, the gadget can be attached to any shower head, but only Sprig aroma capsules can be inserted into the holder. In the future, they must be purchased separately: for 6 disposable capsules you will have to pay $21, and one reusable capsule will cost $24 (intended for 8 times of use).
The price of the gadget itself starts at $119, it can be purchased during the first quarter of 2023.
Kohler isn’t the only company that believes the aromatherapy shower will be a successful addition to the ranks of “wellness technology.” This month, startup Hai is launching a product called Fuse, which can also be attached to any shower head and infuse the water with aromas and vitamins. The cost of such a nozzle is $49, and it will be released on January 25. Instead of capsules, the Hai infusion shower system uses tablets (containing sodium bicarbonate and citric acid) with lavender and tangerine aromas. They can be purchased from $26 for 16 pieces.
Another “interesting” Kohler development is the $11,500 Numi 2.0 smart toilet with built-in Alexa voice assistant, UV lights for cleaning, temperature, position and pressure controls. Its bowl automatically washes dirt off the walls and deodorizes. Heated seats, air dryer, emergency back-up wash and automatic cover are available. All these functions are controlled by a portable remote control, and the LEDs and surround sound are controlled by the Kohler Konnect app.
